The folks over at Think Flood have created a prety slick device that’s sure to give the universal remote folks at Harmon and run for their money. The RedEye Mini is dongle that plugs into either your iPhone or iPod touch and, with the downloadable app installed, it will turn your iDevice in to a sleek universal remote capable of controlling all your home equipment and can run macros as well. It requires iPhone software 3.2 to run, which is not available yet, but expect this thing to hit stores the second Apple finally releases 3.2 (which should be shortly before the launch of the iPad).

A simple, cleany designed tee with a positive message – encouraging a “Good World”. Printed on American Apparel and available for $22 at Print Liberation.
This is a simple and effective idea. It’s compact travel clock displays both the current time and the alarm time in an effort to trick you’re body into going to sleep or staying up depening on the gap in time. Ideally, once the current time hits 8 hours before the alarm time, that’s when you need to forceyourself to doze off.
It’s available in white, black and orange for $45 from Fitzsu.
It’s not very often I’m impressed by something so simple as salt and perpper shakers, but these bad boys are prety much a sure thing to stand out on your dinner table (or coffee table if that’s where you happen to eat!). Made out of grade A porcelain and dishwasher and microwave safe, I would definitely add them to your arsenal if I were you. (Bad pun intended).
They’re only $17 and available from Yanko Design.
It’s kind of amazing someone didn’t think of this years ago. Lacie has come out with USB keys that are sleek and simple and hold anywhere from 4gb to 32gb on your key ring and won’t stick out like a sore thumb. Get it? Thumb drive?? Yeah, it’s a bad joke. Anyways, they come in several different designs, have a transfer rate of up to 30 MB/s, are water and scratch resistant and range in price from $19.99 to $99.99. You can pick them up from Lacie’s website or I’d recommend checking Provantage for slightly below MSRP if you wanna save a few bucks.

I personally don’t vacuum. I have a house keeper that comes twice a month and takes care of that for me. It’s truly the best money I spend all month! But, if you do your own cleaning, and live in a small apartment or studio, the latest Dyson vacuum should come in quite handy. Designed specifically for cramped quarters, it has all the power of the bigger vacuums without cluttering your space. And apparently it took 5 freaking years to design. 5 years!!
Currently available in the UK only, but inevitably headed to the states, hopefully before the end of the year. For more info head over the to Dyson website.
Do you love Top Gun? Do you also need an external hard drive? If you answered yes to both those questions, then this post is for you! Some guy over at Etsy is selling modified hard drives made out of old VHS tapes. Top Gun, Star Wars and Star Trek are all available in 3 different sizes (320, 500 and 640 gb). But you can also specify a special order of any movie you want and they’ll get it for you. Or you could just order one of the three available and change to box cover if you have a VHS tape laying around. Although, I’m not sure why you would, weirdo. It is 2010.
